How to clean a Sino doll

Silicone is the easy material to keep clean. A few habits keep a Sino doll's skin and makeup looking new for years.

Updated: October 20, 2026 · Official Sino-doll and Top-sino site

Every Sino-doll and Top-sino model is platinum silicone, which is non-porous: dirt and moisture stay on the surface instead of soaking in. That makes cleaning simpler than with TPE dolls (no powder, far fewer stains), but two things need care. The painted makeup on Sino faces is the most valuable part of the doll, and a full-size Sino weighs 32–39 kg, more when wet. This guide covers the routine after each use, the full wash, drying, the face and what never to put on silicone.

What you need

  • Mild, unscented liquid soap.
  • Lukewarm water.
  • Soft cotton or microfibre towels and a soft sponge.
  • An irrigation bottle for inner channels.
  • A soft makeup brush and a small cosmetic sponge for the face.
  • Optional: a lint roller and a breathable cotton cover for storage.

A simple cleaning schedule

When What Time
After each use Flush the used channel, dry around the opening 5 minutes
Every few weeks Full body wash, full drying 45–60 minutes including drying
As needed Face dabbing, lint and dust removal 5 minutes
Before storage Full wash, complete drying, cover Same as a full wash

After each use

Flush the used inner channel with lukewarm soapy water from the irrigation bottle, then clean water, and let it drain with the opening facing down. Dry around the opening with a soft cloth and leave the area open to air for a while. Five minutes now saves a deep clean later.

The full wash, every few weeks

  1. Protect the head. Unscrew it, or keep the neck above water: water should not reach the bolt or eye sockets.
  2. Shower or shallow bath in lukewarm water, with a towel on the bottom of the tub so the doll cannot slip.
  3. Wash with your hands or a soft sponge and mild soap, following the body's contours.
  4. Rinse thoroughly, especially in the creases behind the knees, under the arms and at the hips.
  5. Lift carefully. A wet full-size Sino doll weighs 32–39 kg (±3 kg) and is slippery. Lift by the torso and hips, never by the arms or neck.

Washing a Sino torso

The Sino torsos (26–29 kg) fit in a shower tray, which makes the full wash much easier. Keep the head above water in the same way.

Drying

Pat dry with soft towels, then leave the doll on a dry towel in a warm, ventilated room for a few hours. Dry inner channels with a lint-free cloth or leave them open to air. Silicone does not need powder, but a completely dry surface prevents mould and lint. Never use a hair dryer on a hot setting or a heater: heat can deform silicone and fade makeup.

The face and makeup

Sino's finish versions (R+S on the Sino-doll lines, RRS and RRS+ on Top-sino, artist makeup on the Recreated Series) are painted by hand. Clean the face only with a damp cosmetic sponge and a tiny amount of soap, dabbing rather than rubbing. Never use makeup remover, alcohol or wipes on the face. Keep the head out of direct sunlight to stop colours fading, and store it so nothing presses against the face.

Light marks and lint

Silicone resists stains, but dark dye can still leave a faint mark if a damp doll sits on dark fabric for days. Wash promptly with soap and water; most light marks fade. Lint and dust come off with a lint roller or a slightly damp cloth. If a mark does not fade, ask the seller before trying anything stronger: solvents damage both the skin and the painted finish.

Cleaning by Sino line

Top-sino and the Recreated Series

The most detailed faces. Keep face cleaning to gentle dabbing, and wash the body as usual. The Recreated Series uses the softer ACE Soft-Max body, which can crease if stored folded while damp: dry it fully first.

Sino-doll Soft-Max

Softer silicone, same routine. Make sure creases at the hips and knees are completely dry before storage. See Soft-Max explained.

Sino-doll S-series and XNX-doll

Standard silicone with the R+S finish; the routine above applies unchanged.

Never use on a Sino doll

  • Alcohol, acetone, bleach or solvent cleaners.
  • Silicone-based lubricants, or other silicone products pressed against the doll; use water-based lubricant only.
  • Hot water, hair dryers on hot, or heaters.
  • Abrasive sponges or brushes.
  • Makeup remover or wet wipes on the face.
