Platinum silicone Sino dolls

Every Sino doll is silicone. This is what the material changes, and what it does not.

Updated: October 20, 2026 · Official Sino-doll and Top-sino site

Many doll brands sell both TPE and silicone. Sino-doll and Top-sino make platinum-silicone dolls only, with metal skeletons. That single decision explains most of what you get from a Sino doll, from the painted faces to the easy care, and most of what you pay: full-size models in this guide list at $2,350–5,279.

This page explains what platinum silicone is, how a Sino silicone doll compares with a typical TPE doll in daily use, and where to start if you want Sino silicone at the lowest price.

What platinum silicone means for a Sino doll

Platinum-cure silicone

Silicone rubber is cured with a catalyst. Platinum-cure silicone is the higher-grade, more stable type used for products that touch skin. For a doll it means a stable, non-porous surface that does not sweat oil, holds pigment well and keeps fine sculpted detail over time.

Detail that lasts

Silicone takes and keeps the fine lines of a sculpt: pores, knuckles, creases at the wrists and the edges of the lips. Sino's faces depend on that, because the finish versions (R+S, RRS, RRS+ and artist makeup) are painted onto the silicone and stay sharp for years with careful use.

A metal skeleton inside

Every Sino model in this guide has a metal skeleton, which lets the doll sit, stand with support and hold poses. The silicone around it is what you see and touch.

Sino silicone vs a typical TPE doll

Sino platinum silicone Typical TPE doll
Surface Smooth, skin-like, holds pores and creases Softer, less fine detail
Makeup Holds hand-painted makeup well Wears off sooner
Stains Highly resistant Absorbs dye from fabrics
Care Wash and dry; no powder needed Wash, dry and powder
Feel Firmer; Sino's Soft-Max is softer Very soft
Weight 32–39 kg at full size in this guide Similar size, slightly lighter
Price $2,350–5,279 here Lower

Why realism depends on more than material

Silicone allows detail, but the result depends on sculpting and painting. Sino is known for faces and for its finish versions: R+S on the Sino-doll lines, RRS and RRS+ on Top-sino, artist makeup on the Recreated Series. The same head can look noticeably different in two versions, which is why the version label in a listing matters as much as the head number. See Top-sino explained.

How long Sino silicone lasts, and what wears first

Platinum silicone itself ages slowly, so with normal care the body keeps its shape and surface for years. What wears first is predictable:

  • The painted face. Rubbing, solvents and sun fade makeup; gentle dabbing and storage out of the light keep it.
  • Fingers and toes. Thin parts take the most stress when dressing and posing; support the hand when sliding sleeves on.
  • Joints under strain. Holding extreme poses for days stretches the skin over the knees, hips and shoulders.
  • Pressure points. Weeks seated in the same position can leave marks on the buttocks and thighs; alternate positions or store the doll lying flat.

Treat these four areas carefully and a Sino doll keeps its look far longer than a typical TPE doll.

Caring for a Sino silicone doll

Cleaning

Mild, unscented soap, lukewarm water, pat dry, no powder required. Treat the painted face gently: a soft cloth, no scrubbing and no solvents or alcohol wipes.

What to keep away

Silicone-based lubricants and other silicone products can react with the surface. Dark or freshly dyed fabrics stain silicone far less than TPE, but light clothing is still the safer choice for long periods. Heat and direct sun fade makeup over time.

Our cleaning guide covers the routine step by step, and what a Sino doll feels like answers the question most buyers ask first.
